Winter Decorations

Winter decorations are always a bit tough for me - it's sad when you have to take down the Christmas decorations, and it feels like there's nothing else to put out! Luckily, this year I was given quite a few things for Christmas that helped immensely. Most of the items will probably stay out close to year-round!

On our mantle, I tried to combine a lot of textures. This was the one of the first times I have tried to do an arrangement like this, with so many different objects. But I am very pleased with the results! It took a lot of messing around, but eventually I was happy with it.

Next up is our small end table... I've officially jumped on the cute ceramic animal bandwagon!

The main coffee table in the living room now holds an African violet along with a candle and brassy ball, contained in a basket which gives it some great texture.

Our kitchen table has been adorned with the wire basket I found garage saling this summer, along with a few other items.

I know it's a little late, but there they are, the winter decorations!  Now I need to be brainstorming for spring... maybe if I go ahead and decorate for spring, it'll make the warm weather come quickly?

Wow...your plants look amazing. I was given one plant this Christmas and it quickly began to pass on...so I decided to see if someone else would like to care for it! =)

Great arrangements...lovely to "visit" your home and see how warm and inviting it is!

Lovely photos a pleasing thoughts of warmer weather. Albeit warmer here in the south, my eyes are tied of the brown/gray landscape as far as the eye can see.

You have a wonderful mantle to work with, my favorite photo though is the wire basket on your wonderful kitchen table. Always been one of my favorite designs in your home.

Blessings :)
